The Pliocene epoch

Research

The Pliocene epoch was 2.7 million years long was very cold which was odd because the time before it was the Miocene time was very warm and, the vegetation changed a lot during the Pliocene epoch. This time was important because ice caps formed and the Mediterranean drained, so no water was in the sea. The warmest time in the Epoch was in the middle.

During this time North America touched South America for the first time at a place called the Isthmus of Panama.

Also, some apes started to live in savannas not. Trees and a lot of forests turned in to savannas.
